ABOUT THE SHOWgrounds
The grounds were originally built as a cricket ground and opened in 1906. Ironically no game of cricket ever occurred here. The “Humpybong Show” first ran in 1923 by The Redcliffe Council and included cooking contests, the “Cutest Baby” competitions, egg and spoon races, 100 yard sprints and three legged races; it was more of a picnic than a show. In 1939 it stopped for World War 2. In 1949 Alderman C.A Webb formed a new committee and in 1950 the first Redcliffe Show debuted.

IMPORTANT COVID INFORMATION
Given the nature of our event, we are working hard to ensure we deliver a safe and seamless show in 2022. Last year we introduced some changes to our gate entry, including online ticket purchase, availability to EFTPOS and, of course, QR code check-in. Our priority is to keep our community safe, but we need your help, please practice physical distancing at all times and if you are unwell - please stay home.
Covid Safety Ambassadors and Security Guards will again be patrolling the show grounds this year, to ensure everyone is following the COVID guidelines. Please be considerate to all our volunteers, they are trying to ensure everyone has an enjoyable show.
We thank you for your patience while we continue to fine tune the delivery of the Redcliffe Show in our current climate.
